Week 8 Jargon
Navy and Cental Michigan won...so...I am happy and both are very close to being ranked...I have a feeling CMU might be this afternoon, and Navy just outside the top 25 at 6-2 beating Wake Forest yesterday. I was there, and the rain was gross...really really hard rain and wind...It pretty much screwed the WF passing game, but didn't really effect Navy's triple option, as Vince Murry the Navy FB had 175 yards rushing.
Ok, on with the random notes....
TCU is the real deal. I think it is a shame if they aren't ranked above Boise this week. The Broncos did kill Hawaii, but...Lets have BYU and Hawaii play and see what happens?
Idaho, everyones darling, gave up over 200 yards on the ground to a QB and got demolished. Dang.
I am loving UTEP after beating UH and Tulsa...Its going to be funny when a 9-3 UTEP plays in the CUSA title game, and a 11-1 Houston who will probably be ranked about 10-15 doesn't HAHA
Ohio inexplicably loses to Kent State...They had the MAC East in their hands...now, who knows? Temple? Its going to be a wild finish to see who Central Michigan gets to crush.
I am very suprised that Utah St beat La Tech...well done Aggies!
WOW...Troy stomped North Texas...thats not the WOW...the wow is that is sets up a huge Sun Belt game next week vs the UL Monroe Warhawks who are also undefeated in conferance. Should be the biggest Sun Belt game of the year.
Utah holds on versus AF...Man, AF is better than I thought coming into the year.

Levi Brown
is completely ridiculous.
469 yds in around 3 quarters of play. this kid wouldve had two more 400 yd games to accompany his 2 if it wasn’t for leaving the game early. No Ints since his last 400 yd game vs UAB.
he was injured. injured bad.

central michigan has a chance to go 12-1 if they beat boston college this week.
has any mac team ever beat two aq bcs teams? if c.m. beats b.c. they do it. michigan state and b.c would be their wins. dan lefevour is the best qb that most of the country does not know about. he will probably be drafted in second round and if he gets to right team would start. he will be much better than sam bradford.

I am and have been a CMU fan since they were garbage...
But I will admit, I think it will be even more impressive to win at Chestnut Hill against BC that in East Lansing.
Mel Kiper is very high on Dan, he has had him as high as his 2nd best QB at different points this year.

dan lefevour had these stats during his sophomore year
over 3000 yards passing over 1000 yards rushing, over 20 td’s passed and 19 rushing td’s. only vince young and tim tebow have accomplished that. if dan l. would have had one more rushing td he would at the time been the only player in ncaa history to have all those stats. i believe tebow had all those stats(he also had 20 rushing td’s) when he one the heisman. vince young just did 3000/1000. remember ben roethlisberger was from the mac and yes dan. l. is 2 inches shorter and 30 pds lighter but he is much faster and can throw a ball with as much zip on it as ben. with the right team he will start.

Levi Brown is a decent college QB at a small school....
Dan is a Good QB at a small school…. But, the MAC is better than the Sun Belt…LOL

Troy is better than most of the MAC
The way theyre playing right now anyways. I think that once they put away WKU they’ll show that against Arky. People always want to piss on the SBC til it comes time to play them.
Didn’t FAU beat LeFevour lead Cent Mich in a bowl game last year?
he was injured. injured bad.

Different FAU team
And different CMU team…if you think Troy could beat Central…even in Alabama this year, you are crazy sir.

someones a little high on their team
Central Mich and Troy are very much equals. I’d love to see Central Mich play Troy this year in the GMAC bowl or whatever its called. That’d be a great game, regardless of what you, as a homer, try and claim.
he was injured. injured bad.

Central will have to lose the MAC Championship for that to happen
They will be playing the 5th bowl team from the Big Ten in the bowl game in Detroit..I forget what it is called now LOL…it was the Motor City Bowl.
But, if they happen to lose, and they could…then yes..the 2nd team from the MAC plays the FIRST team from the Sunbelt in the GMAC bowl…so…maybe my friend.

theyre both good for their schools
no one from troy would trade Brown away for lefevour, and visa/versa
But i believe Brown to be the better pro pospect
he was injured. injured bad.

I like troy and admit that they are recruiting much better than most small schools..
Including central michigan…So, it wont be long before they are in CUSA I bet….

the difference is dan lefevour is going to start somewhere in the nfl
i’m not saying he will be like ben rothlisberger (another mac alumni) but i think if he gets on the right team he can lead them to a winning record. d.l has done it 4 years in a row too. last year he hd to battle injuries. good luck to both of them but i rather have dan. l. on my nfl team

Well, the only current player in CFB that compares to Dan is McCoy
Locker is a WR with an arm, and Tebow is all heart and legs. (and I am a Tebow fan)
But when it comes down to who can play QB in the NFL, Colt is the #1 prospect in my mind, with Bradford, Dan, and Claussen next…I am not sure about Locker or Tebow as QBs. To me, Lock looks EXACTLY like the Matt Jones, only minus the cocain HAHA

gotta disagree with bradford.
what is going to happen when 2 nfl lineman or lb’s hit him? another injury no doubt. can you say ken dorsey and the track record of big 12 qb’s is bad. no big 12 qb has ever won a super bowl. troy aikman is considered a ucla bruin.

neith Bradford nor McCoy will be big names in the NFL
he was injured. injured bad.

Brown will start somewhere as well
It may take longer for him to work his way up that latter, but the kid has all the tools.
he was injured. injured bad.

You mean Ladder..not Latter...
And he is a decent QB man. I am not saying his isnt.
We will continue this conversation in May after the Draft.
