Stewart Mandel on Boise State's National Championship Chances
Stewart Mandel is my favorite national writer for college football, and he's particularly sound when it comes to anticipating bowl games. He argues that Boise State could make the national title game, considering that Boise is currently at 5 and 2 of the 3 SEC teams above the Broncos have to lose at some point. Ultimately, Mandel expects the Broncos will be leapfrogged int the rankings, but it certaintly looks like Boise State is a lock to make a BCS game (if not the championship game) if they go undefeated.

their strength of schedule is pretty weak
and I wasn’t blown away by their performance against Oregon, I think two 1 loss teams get in before them.
