Following Evansville's 56-50 loss to Buffalo in the Coaches vs. Cancer event, Aces coach Marty Simmons addressed the most pressing issue for his 0-2 team: the Colt Ryan hip injury.
#UE coach Marty Simmons "I'd hate to speculate" on Colt Ryan's injury. Doesn't know his status and hasn't spoken to any doctors.
— Jonathan Lintner (@ECP_Lintner) November 16, 2012
Ryan left the game just six and a half minutes in and returned to the Aces bench with a heavy wrap around his mid-section. At the time, the injury was reported as a hip pointer, and that it could take 2-4 weeks to recover.
His status for Friday night's game against Yale has not been determined:
Do you have any idea if Ryan can play tomorrow against Yale?
"I do not. I have not been informed by any medical people at this time."
Losing Ryan probably forces the Aces to go with a smaller lineup, possibly slotting Lewis Jones into a starting role.

Evansville star Colt Ryan has left the Aces' game against Buffalo with a hip pointer according to Evansville's Lance Wilkerson.
We have heard that Colt Ryan has suffered a hip pointer.

Wilkerson also added a photo of Ryan standing outside the huddle with his waist heavily wrapped.
Losing Ryan for two to four weeks, as Jonathan Lintner pointed out was the recommended recovery time on WebMD.com, would be devastating to the Aces' chances to make some noise in the nonconference season.
He was one of the few bright spots in the Aces' loss to Notre Dame over the weekend, scoring 15 points against the Irish. He was having a tough night against Buffalo before the injury, shooting just 1-for-4 from the field, including missing all three of his 3-point attempts.
We will have more on his injury as we hear updates from the game, but safe to say that he will not be returning to the court tonight.
