Loyola-Chicago was once very good at basketball. They have a banner that hangs in the rafters denoting that they were indeed National Champions. This happened at a time when there were strong segregationist factions in the U.S., and one of the biggest was in Mississippi. You can read the link yourself for background, but a game was played at Michigan State between Loyola and Mississippi State and dubbed the "Game of Change." The two schools will begin a home-and-home, two-game series this season, with the first contest in Chicago on December 15. Put that one on the calendar now for a potential MMM event.
