Iona Men's Basketball Reacts to Haynes Shooting

The Iona athletic department has issued a statement in response to the shooting death of incoming forward Michael Haynes. Haynes was shot dead Thursday night in the continuing violence that plagues the Chicago South Side. Coach Tim Cluess had this to say: "The Iona family is devastated with the news on Michael’s passing," he said. "His passion, energy and excitement for his opportunity this year makes this tragedy even more upsetting. Our sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers are with his family."
