Four Suspended LIU Players Reinstated, Will Miss First 2 NEC Games
Four Long Island men's basketball players were charged with assault and suspended from school after a fight at an on-campus party. The four included reigning Northeast Conference player of the year Julian Boyd and the top three scorers from last season's NEC championship team. The school ruled Monday, Oct. 8 to allow the four back into school, and the AD said they will miss the first two Northeast conference games.

Long Island University announced that decisions on the four suspended Blackbird basketball players will come on Wednesday, Oct. 10. Julian Boyd, Jamal Olasewere, C.J. Garner and Troy Joseph have all appealed their suspensions, but could be on the verge of expulsion.
