Siena has moved on from Mitch Buonaguro after a three year tenure with the Saints.
The coaching carousel keeps on spinning. Mitch Buonaguro has been relieved of his duties at Siena after an 8-24 season in Loudonville.
Buonaguro was 35-59 at Siena over his three year span. Before becoming the head coach he was an assistant under Fran McCafferery, who is now at Iowa.
Buonaguro was also an assistant at UNC Greensboro, Cleveland State, Texas A&M, Villanova, and Boston College. He was the head coach at Fairfield from 1985 to 1991.
Siena is sure to be an attractive job and will likely draw a long line of candidates. Could hiring a high profile coach help to bolster the rumors of the Saints possibly being invited to the new Big East?
