Cue REM, It's The End of the Great West
The final Great West Tournament will be run this week in the shadows of the big boys. And by big boys, we mean everyone other than the Great West (yes, even the SWAC). ChicagoSide interviewed the folks at Chicago State and the league commissioner on the demise of a conference that was the only bastion of hope for many new Division 1 programs. Most of the schools will end up in the WAC next year, and NJIT will continue looking for a new home. Take a read as we prepare to say goodbye to the league for the final time.
