The Southern Conference school will move on from their long tenured head coach.

John Shulman's nine year tenure at UT-Chattanooga is over. The Southern Conference school decided to move on from the coach who has been with Mocs since 2002 as an assistant.

Shulman was 158-165 at UT-Chattanooga. He took the Mocs to the NCAA tournament in 2005 and 2009. The team has struggled the past couple of years, however, going 14-22 in Southern Conference play.

The university will pay out the remainder of his $138,000 contract in monthly increments. Season tickets sales have dropped by over forty-one percent at Chattanooga since Shulman's first season.

Before coming to UTC he was an assistant at Wofford and East Tennessee State.
