Teaneck, NJ - Just your 'typical' Northeast Conference night. St. Francis won the offensive efficiency battle 125-119 and had the advantage of three of the Four Factors, and lost the game. FDU freshman Malachi Nix canned two free throws with three seconds remaining to give the Knights the victory. FDU and St. Francis are both 3-2 in the NEC.
"It was obviously important to get because we want to be in the upper division of the conference as long as possible," Said FDU coach Greg Herenda.
The win spoiled a game high by St. Francis' Jalen Cannon (23 points) who registered his 1.oooth career point. Besides Nix's free throws, the turnovers were a big story. The only edge FDU had in the Four Factors was turnover rate. St. Francis had a very high 24% rate, FDU just 10%. In addition the Knights had a 23-11 advantage in points off turnovers. Case closed and in the win column for FDU.
