Wichita State took advantage of another round of upsets in the major conferences to gain back its spot in the AP Top 25. But the field of mid-majors is still looking for some respect among the voters.

Creighton, Gonzaga and Memphis continue to be ranked, but the real news is what is happening outside the Top 25, where several mid-major teams are starting to get noticed.

Creighton, Gonzaga and Memphis all held onto spots in the AP Top 25, with the Bluejays and the Bulldogs both gaining spots in the latest ranking. And the only team to lose its spot came as the result of a mid-major upset on opening night
