Cinque Lee, a 20-year-old Chicago man, has been arrested in the shooting death of Iona's Michael Haynes.
Lee was identified by witnesses as the shooter, and had been brought in for questioning Tuesday. He will appear in bond court Thursday.
According to the Chicago Tribune, a 20-year-old man has been taken in for questioning in the shooting death of incoming Iona basketball player Michael Haynes.
Haynes' brother was also arrested for threatening several people with a gun on the night of Michael's death. Thankfully he did not shoot anyone that night in retaliation.

Yahoo's Dagger blog adds more reaction to the shooting death of Michael Haynes that took place Thursday night.
Haynes was recruited out of a junior college event in Las Vegas (the new amateur basketball capital of the world it seems).
From coach Tim Cluess in the Yahoo piece:
"He was one of those kids you wanted to coach because he was a different personality," Cluess said. "He wanted better in his life, and it wasn't just about basketball. He wanted to be mentored, he wanted someone who was going to care about him and he wanted to be in a family atmosphere."
The Iona athletic department has issued a statement in response to the shooting death of incoming forward Michael Haynes.
Haynes was shot dead Thursday night in the continuing violence that plagues the Chicago South Side.
Coach Tim Cluess had this to say:
"The Iona family is devastated with the news on Michael’s passing," he said. "His passion, energy and excitement for his opportunity this year makes this tragedy even more upsetting. Our sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers are with his family."
