Over at Team Speed Kills I've posted a few graphs that compare SEC football programs by the NCAA APR numbers released earlier this week. While the ability of these numbers to adequately describe the academic standards of a given program might be debatable, they do provide a specific measure over time. For Alabama it shows a dramatic improvement since the numbers were first tabulated six years ago. In terms of the annual tally of the four-year APR average, the Crimson Tide football program has gone from the second-worst in the conference to one of the best. In terms of annual APR figures, Nick Saban's squad is only bested by the perfect tally recorded by Mark Richt's Georgia Bulldogs.
