After 4 years as an in-studio analyst, former Vermont head coach Tom Brennan was let go by ESPN, who elected not to pick up the option of renewing the last year of Brennan's 3 year contract. ESPN plans to lay off over 100 Connecticut based employees, the majority of which are not considered "broadcast talent" (Aka. Brennan got shafted).
Most will remember Brennan's final season at Vermont, in which the Cats won 25 games, including their third consecutive America East Conference crown, third straight NCAA appearance and an upset of Syracuse in the opening round.
Brennan plans to take the rest of the summer off to work on his game before taking an official visit to any other networks.
