Gonzaga Into Top 10, Creighton Holds at No. 16

Gonzaga and Creighton continue to hold down the fort for the mid-major ranks, with Wichita State still receiving votes. With a short week, not much has changed in the latest AP Top 25.

As I type, these things are more and more out of date. Pittsburgh was knocked off by Cincinnati at home and that will end the stay of the Panthers in this realm.

That said, there wasn't much happening this week to move the needle on many of these teams. People seem to be less impressed with Michigan, even though the Wolverines remained undefeated. The vote total fell though while most of the rest of the top 10 all saw a bump.

In the mid-major world, Gonzaga moved into the top 10, thanks to the loss by Missouri. Creighton held strong at No. 16.

As far as others receiving votes, the Wichita State win over Northern Iowa on Sunday night was impressive, but didn't help to garner any love for the Shockers. They earned 11 votes this week.
