Charleston Southern locked up a share of the South Division title in the Big South tonight with a 92-69 thrashing of VMI. The win means the Bucs will get a bye in the first round of the Big South tournament in a couple of weeks and will likely play the winner of the first round game between the fourth seed from the North and the five seed from the South.

The Bucs were without leading scorer Saah Nimley who is experiencing a minor back injury. Nimley is also expected to miss Saturday's Bracketbuster game at Rider.

Forward Mathiang Muo stepped up in Nimley's absence dropping 23 points on the Keydets with an eight for nine night from the floor. Nimley's backcourt mate Arlon Harper added 21 points and forward Jeremy Sexton had 19 on the evening.

While Charleston Southern moved to 16-9 and 11-3 in the Big South, VMI finds themselves in free-fall. The Keydets were once in firm control of the North Division but now stand 6-8 in conference play and tied for third place with Radford in the division.

Surprisingly, Duggar Baucom's squad still has a shot at second place in the division and a first round bye, as they are only one game behind Campbell.
