No firings here, but Jackson State coach Tevester Alexander is retiring and Texas State coach Doug Davalos has resigned.
Alexander won 149 games in his ten years at Jackson State. He had four winning seasons, including a 21 win campaign in 2007 which ended in a SWAC championship and a 15 seed in the NCAA tournament. Alexander was also the head coach at Murray State from 1995 to 1998.
Doug Davalos resigns after seven years at Texas State. The Bobcats went 12-22 in their first and only year in the WAC as Texas State will move onto the Sun Belt next year. Davalos never had a winning season in San Marcos. Before coming to Texas State, Davalos was the head coach at DIII Sul Ross State.
