For the second year in a row the America East will lose one of its higher profile players. Last year, Vermont's Four McGlynn bolted for Towson and this year the conference will lose Maine's Justin Edwards.
Edwards is a sophomore from Whitby, Ontario who lead the America East in scoring this past year. The 6'3 guard was named the CollegeHoops.net America East Rookie of the Year and named to the All-America East Rookie Team a year ago averaging nearly 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists per game.
Edwards averaged 16.7 points per game this year to become the first Black Bear to lead the conference in scoring since 1990.
It is unclear where the Canadian will transfer to, but look for him to pop up at a major program after his recent tweet:
I simply want to gain exposure playing at a higher level of basketball for my next 2 years, and look forward to the challenge that lies ahead

Maine was 11-19 this year and 6-10 in conference play. Edwards leading point total was the lowest total to lead the conference in scoring ever.
