Furman has found their replacement for former head coach Jeff Jackson. The Southern Conference school has chosen Niko Medved as their next head coach.
Medved has spent the last five years at Colorado State and was known as the key recruiting coordinator for the Rams. He was at Minnesota for a year before coming to Colorado State.
Medved does have plenty of history with the Paladins, as he was an assistant there for seven seasons. He also spent 2007 as Furman's interim head coach. He'll take over a program that was just 7-24 this past season.
Jeff Jackson was let go last month after seven years at the school with a 85-131 record. Furman does lose Colin Reddick who was the Paladin's leading scorer this past year averaging over 12 points per game.
Furman has been mentioned in realigment talks with the CAA.
