2014 NIT Bracket: Minnesota, St. John's, SMU and Florida State Grab Top Seeds

Here is everything you need to know about the NIT. We have the bracket, the matchups, and any and all television we have as we can find it.

The NIT bracket was announced Sunday night with an astonishing 13 regular season champions of mid-major conferences. That means that more than one-third of the field went to teams that were the best in their leagues during the regular season.

It could signal that the names at the top of the bracket are not going to get to the Final Four in Madison Square Garden. The top spots went to St. John's (6 NIT titles), Florida State, SMU and Minnesota, with the best mid-major seeds being Louisiana Tech and Southern Mississippi, both teams that were getting a little bit of NCAA Tournament love.
