The Eagles were not expected to do much in the preseason after losing three starters and replacing their head coach in the offseason. But things don't always go as planned and in this case for the better when it comes to American.
Led by Jesse Reed, John Schoof and Tony Wroblicky, the Eagles have taken out Bucknell, Holy Cross and Loyola in the early conference action, putting them tied for the Patriot League lead.
They face a tough test in Colgate on Saturday, as the Raiders look to get into the win column in Patriot League play. After pushing through nonconference action as one of the top performers in the league, the consistency just hasn't been there in the early going. It is almost as if the team is still reeling after a double-overtime loss in the opener against Lehigh.
