Wagner's Dwaun Anderson Slams Down Alley-Oop

Wagner dominated Long Island yesterday to move to 2-0 in NEC play, but it was Dwaun Anderson's alley-oop jam that stole the show for the Seahawks.

The Wagner Seahawks cruised to 2-0 in the Northeast Conference yesterday with a 84-70 win over Long Island. Despite the stellar play by Bashir Mason's squad it was his Michigan State transfer Dwaun Anderson who stole the show.

Late in the second half Latif Rivers threw the ball off of the backboard on a fastbreak and Dwaun Anderson cleaned up the mess with a vicious alley oop to stretch the Seahawks lead to 15 points.

Anderson finished the game with 12 points. Mario Moody was the player of the game for the Seahawks with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Marcus Burton also added 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Wagner now stands 8-7 on the year and 2-0 in the NEC. The Seahawks will head to Mount St. Mary's for a Thursday match up. The Blackbirds of Long Island drop to 5-10 on the year and 0-2 in the conference. They'll look for their first NEC win Thursday against Fairleigh Dickinson.
