Inclement weather only cancelled one game in the MAAC tonight. While Quinnipiac and Iona stayed at home, four teams prevailed in the MAAC including a big night from Manhattan's George Beamon.

George Beamon put the Manhattan Jaspers on his back this evening to avoid a loss against St. Peter's that likely have been one of their worst of the years. Beamon finished the night with 28 points and 10 rebounds and was 14-for-14 from the free throw line.

Manhattan moves to 3-0 in MAAC play, while St. Peter's drops to 0-3. The Jaspers will welcome in a struggling Fairfield squad Saturday and while St. Peter's will host Canisius.

Monmouth grabbed their first MAAC win ever today and moved to 1-2 in conference play with a 63-59 win over Siena. None of the Hawks starters finished in double-figures, but Josh James and Max DiLeo combined for 21 points off the bench. Rob Poole lead the Saints with 21 points and 9 rebounds.

Monmouth will host Quinnipiac this weekend in a battle of new MAAC members. Siena will host Rider.

Rider has won five of their last six and moved to 3-0 in the MAAC with a 85-83 win over Niagara tonight. Jimmie Taylor lead the Broncs with 24 points on the night. Antoine Mason continued his scoring onslaught for the Purple Eagles dropping 31 points on the Broncs.

Fairfield has really been struggling but no one expected them to get blown out by Marist. Jay Bowie, Chavaughn Lewis, Khallid Hart, and Manny Thomas all finished in double-figures for the Red Foxes. Marist will host Canisius on Monday, while Fairfield have their work cut out for them at Manhattan

.Iona and Quinnipiac was postponed today due to inclement weather in the northeast.
