Mike Lonergan and the surging George Washington Colonials will be without their second leading scoring for the next two months with a foot injury.

Bad news from Foggy Bottom this morning as the Washington Post is reporting that George Washington will be without their second leading scorer, Kethan Savage, for 6-8 weeks due to a fractured bone in his foot.

Savage is averaging 13.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game for the 15-3 Colonials. Maurice Creek, who is averaging 14.5 points per night, is the only player on Mike Lonergan's squad averaging more points per game than Savage.

With Savage out, it likely means that Patricio Garino will be inserted back into the starting lineup. The 6'6 Argentine has battled injury this year, but is coming off a 25 point, 7 rebound outing against VCU last week. On the year Garino is averaging 9.5 points and 3.5 rebounds a night.

The Colonials aren't slated to play again until Saturday at 7-11 George Mason, in a game that is being dubbed the "Revolutionary Rivalry". You can watch these two rivals battle on the NBC Network at noon on Saturday.
