Dayton won the kickoff game of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off today 55-53 thanks to a buzzer beater from Devon Scott. Dyshawn Pierre lead the Flyers with 14 points and three rebounds.
The Flyers grabbed victory today despite being out-rebounded 47-26. They did force 21 turnovers today but also gave up 17 of their own.
Archie Miller's squad is now 2-0 on the year and will play the winner of #17 UConn versus Charleston tomorrow at 2:30 PM eastern on ESPN2 or ESPNU.
The other side of the bracket features New Mexico versus Boston College and George Mason versus West Virginia later today. Both will either be on ESPN2 or ESPNU.
