AP Poll Week 3: Northeastern Joins Others Getting Votes, Wichita State to No. 9

Wichita State, Gonzaga and VCU, all moved up in the AP Poll this week while Northeastern sneaks into the others receiving votes after its upset of Florida State.

Kentucky's early dominance has earned them the lion's share of the first place votes in this week's AP Poll. The Wildcats scored 62 of the 65 votes to remain firmly at No. 1.

Wisconsin grabbed the final three votes, and moved into a tie at No. 2 with Arizona. Duke and North Carolina round out the top five.

Wichita State moved up to No. 9 with Gonzaga following at No. 10. VCU gained a single spot to land at No. 14 in the poll.

Other mid-majors receiving votes were Northern Iowa, Rhode Island, UTEP, Dayton, BYU and Northeastern.
