Kentucky and Wisconsin continued to hold their shares of the first place votes this week while Thanksgiving tournaments caused a lot of shakeup at the bottom in this week's AP Top 25 poll.
The Wildcats again had 62 of 65 first place votes to remain in the top spot. Wisconsin took the other three votes to come in at No. 2. The two teams were followed by Arizona, Duke and Louisville in the top five.
Wichita State (No. 8) and Gonzaga (No. 9) each moved up a single place this week. The only other previously ranked mid-major squad, VCU, took two losses this week and fell out of the rankings.
At the bottom of the rankings, there appears to be a great deal of confusion about who belongs. That could mean that we will see one of the mid-major teams getting votes appear in the 20s.
Northern Iowa just missed this week, scoring 83 points, five behind Utah for the No. 25 spot. VCU, Old Dominion and St. Mary's, also received votes in this week's poll.
