Siena will limp into a game with Radford tonight with just eight scholarship players. The latest blow for the Saints is the suspension of sophomore guard Patrick Cole, who was averaging 8.4 points in seven games thus far this season.
"This was done with Patrick and our team's best interests at heart. It wasn't one incident; he just needs to take some time away from basketball and refocus his priorities. It's not an easy decision to make, but we're trying to rebuild a proud program the right way. There are standards and expectations everyone is expected to meet.". Jimmy Patsos said in a release from the school.
Cole is suspended indefinitely and has been invited to attend the school for second semester classes. Siena will already be with Lavon Long tonight with a high ankle sprain and Brett Bisping who dislocated his toe.
The Saints have three non-conference games remaining before they resume MAAC play January 2 at Fairfield.
