Just one week ago, this game might have gone unnoticed by almost everyone but the most diehard WCC fans. But over the past seven days, San Diego has done some damage within the conference.
First it was taking down Portland after the Pilots won a three overtime game against BYU. Then it was defeating St. Mary's, the team hanging in second place in the conference.
But it wasn't just beating St. Mary's. It was totally dominating St. Mary's.
And let's not forget that this San Diego squad almost took out San Francisco and Gonzaga, losing the two games by a total of five points.
There should be no one overlooking San Diego at this point in the season, because the Toreros suddenly look very dangerous in any one-and-done tournament, say like the one coming up in March in Las Vegas.
Can they keep up the winning streak? Find out when the Toreros host Pacific at 1 p.m. Pacific.
