It's been quite a season for the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks and they added to their growing legend today. The Lumberjacks have climbed to number six on our Mid-Major Madness Power 15 and needed a win against Northwestern State today to continue to climb.
The Lumberjacks escaped the Demons 70-68 thanks to this breakaway dunk from Jacob Parker to stay undefeated in the Southland and move to 25-2 on the year.
Parker finished the game with 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals. Desmond Haymon paced the Lumberjacks with 18 points and Deshaunt Walker added 16 points.
The Lumberjacks have now won 22 straight games. They'll head to New Orleans on Thursday to take on a Privateers team that got a big win over Southeastern Louisiana. Saturday, SFA plays at Southeastern Louisiana. Stephen F. Austin's trip to the French Quarter will be their last road trip of the year, as they'll finish the season with a pair of home games.
