The St. Mary's Gaels currently stand was the fourth seed in the West Coast Conference and are looking to carry momentum over last week's win over Pepperdine into the conference tournament. While the Gaels can't catch BYU and the conference's second seed, due to a tiebreaker, they can still challenge San Francisco for the third seed. It will be a tough road as the Gaels host a scrappy Portland squad tonight and then close their season against Gonzaga.
Portland is notched as the sixth seed in the WCC at 7-9 and can still move into the conference fifth seed with a strong finish and some help from Pepperdine's opponents.
St. Mary's won the first meeting between these two teams this year 72-63 in Portland.
There is plenty on the line tonight and we'll have free live streaming for you tonight via theW.tv presented by Campus Insiders. Tip-off is set for 9 PM Eastern from Moraga, California.
