Thanks to TheW.tv, we're able to bring you a live stream of tonight's West Coast Conference game between Santa Clara and San Diego. The webstream will be blacked out in the broadcast areas of Fox Sports Net San Diego and CSN California. If you're located in those areas you'll have to watch the game on TV.
2013-14 is a rebuilding season for the Broncos. Santa Clara sits at the bottom of the standings, though just one game separates the 10th place Broncos and 7th place Toreros. Coming off a blowout loss at BYU, the young Broncos look to end their seven game losing streak against San Diego. The Broncos lost to San Diego by three points in game two of their current losing streak.
San Diego, led by shooting guard Johnny Dee, is out to put some space between themselves and the bottom of the pack. With the conference tournament creeping closer, jockeying for position in the standings becomes even more important. The Toreros currently sit seventh in the standings. Teams 1-6 at the end of the regular season receive byes into the second round of the conference tournament.
Backcourt play will be center stage in this one. The Toreros perimeter trio of Dee, Christopher Anderson and Duda Sanadze are capable of lighting it up from deep or slashing to the rim.
Santa Clara has a 1,000+ career point scorer in senior PG Evan Roquemore. Joining him is junior guard Brandon Clark and freshman Jared Brownridge, the frontrunner for WCC Newcomer of the Year.
