Coaching Carousel: Max Good's Contract is Up at Loyola Marymount

Loyola Marymount will move on from head coach Max Good and already has a replacement in mind.

Loyola Marymount has decided to not renew head coach Max Good's contract after this season. Good went 77-117 since getting the head coach gig in 2009. The Lions went 13-19 this year after starting the season 10-4.

The 72 year old Good had two winning seasons in six year as the coach at LMU. In 2012 he was named the West Coast Conference Coach of the Year after a 21-13 season. Before coming to the Los Angeles based school, where he was an assistant for one year, Good was the head coach at Eastern Kentucky, the Maine Central Institute, UNLV, and Bryant.

Speculation has already arisen that Loyola Marymount alumni and former Charlotte Bobcats coach Mike Dunlap is in the driver's seat to be the next head coach of the Lions. On the college side Dunlap has been an assistant at LMU, Oregon, Southern Cal, Arizona, and St. John's. He was also the head man Cal Lutheran and Metro State, and was an assistant for the Denver Nuggets.
