Tic Price, after replacing the fired Pat Knight on an interim basis for the final five games of 2013-14, has had the interim tag removed and been named the 11th Head Coach of the Lamar Cardinals.
In those final five games, the Cardinals showed life. The only win in those five was over New Orleans, the program Price coached back in the mid-1990's, but they also played very competitive games in the other four never losing by double digits after suffering eight double digit Southland losses under Knight.
In 10 career seasons as a Head Coach, Price's teams made nine postseason appearances between the NCAA Tournament and NIT. He has a 167-122 career record as a Head Coach.
