The Southern Conference released their annual awards today as voted on by the conference's coaches. Davidson's De'Mon Brooks took home the conference's Player of the Year Award, while Wofford's Mike Young was named Coach of the Year. Young's award was a bit surprising given the season first year head coach Wild Wade had at Chattanooga. Z Mason who powered the Chattanooga Mocs to second seed was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Year.
