Virginia took a loss to Duke on Saturday which left the door open for Kentucky to pull in that final vote and solidify its spot as the unanimous No. 1 team in the country. The loss also allowed the Gonzaga Bulldogs to move up to No. 2 in the poll.
Gonzaga trounced both Portland and Memphis last week to move to 22-1 on the season. The Zags will face off against Santa Clara and San Francisco this week.
Virginia, Duke and Wisconsin round out the top five.
Northern Iowa moved up from No. 18 to No. 14 after a win over Southern Illinois and a dominating victory against Wichita State. The Panthers will take on Indiana State and Drake this week.
Wichita State fell from No. 12 to No. 16 after the Northern Iowa loss. The Shockers had beaten Loyola earlier in the week. They face Bradley and Missouri State this week.
VCU's loss to Richmond also caused the Rams to lose four spots, down to No. 18. The loss came after a strong win over George Washington, and also came with a loss to one of the top players on the team, Briante Weber. VCU will attempt to regroup against George Mason and St. Bonaventure this week.
