East Tennessee State has fired twelfth year head coach Murry Bartow after a 16-14 season in Johnson City. Bartow, also the former UAB head coach, lead the Buccaneers to five postseason appearances including back-to-back NCAA Tournaments in 2009 and 2010.
Bartow lead the Bucs from the Southern Conference to the Atlantic Sun back to the Southern Conference. He had a 224-169 mark overall for ETSU and a 127-81 record in conference.
The early favorite for the opening at East Tennessee State is Buccaneers alum and current Charleston Southern coach Barclay Radebaugh. Radebaugh graduated from ETSU in 1987 and started his career there as an assistant after graduating. He has lead Charleston Southern to four straight winning season and two NIT appearances.
