2014-15 MAAC All-Conference Teams Announced

The two stars for the Iona Gaels land spots on the first team All-MAAC squad. Does this bode well for the conference tournament?

Mark L. Baer-USA TODAY Sports

The MAAC announced its three squads of all conference players Monday. It does things a little differently as the six players elected to the first team will now enter a new vote to pick the player of the year in the conference.

That will be announced at the league awards show Friday.

As you would expect, Iona packed the first team with its two stars, David Laury and A.J. English. The Gaels also landed Schadrac Casimir on the second team. They were the only team to have three players make the All-MAAC teams.

Manhattan, Monmouth, Rider and Quinnipiac each had two selections.
