Northern Kentucky Voting on Monday to move to Horizon League


Northern Kentucky University, reportedly, is voting Monday to join the Horizon League. The Norse have been playing in the Atlantic Sun Conference in the 2012-13 season, but have not been eligible for post-season play until this upcoming season. If the Norse join the Horizon League, the Atlantic Sun conference would only have 7 teams this season. The Atlantic Sun lost Mercer and East Tennessee State in 2014 to the Southern Conference. If the Norse joined, the Horizon League would have 10 teams. Wright State's President, a member of the Horizon League, appears to have jumped the gun and welcomed the Norse before the vote on Monday:
