Friday TV Schedule: Sleep off the holiday with Wichita State, VCU, Richmond, and more

You had your turkey. You had your midnight turkey. You’ll get your breakfast turkey if you haven’t already.

Now it’s time for basketball.

There was plenty of action yesterday, but you can be forgiven if you missed it — family obligations and all. Today, there’s no excuse.

Wichita State-Michigan State gets us started at 1 p.m. on ESPN2 in the third-place game at the Battle 4 Atlantis. The Shockers have proven throughout the early part of this season that they are better than we expected them to be. Though they fell to Louisville in the tournament semifinals, they have already blown out Long Beach State, Tulsa, and LSU. KenPom has them as a two-point favorite over the Spartans.

For the late-night crowd, circle Gonzaga-Florida in the Advocare Invitational semifinals. The Bulldogs blew out Quinnipiac in the first round, while the Gators snuck past Seton Hall. That one will tip off at 9:30 on ESPNU. KenPom has Florida as two-point favorites in that one.
