Mid-Majors Well Represented On 2016 NBA Draft Early Entry List

The 2016 NBA Drat's early entry list has been released and plenty of mid-major players were listed.

NBCSports recently posted its list of early entrants to the 2016 NBA Draft and there were a slew of mid-major players that found their names listed. This isn't surprising given the new rules regarding declaring for the NBA Draft, but it is interesting and noteworthy for the many mid majors across the country.

The biggest change to this year's NBA Draft rules is that players are allowed to declare for the upcoming NBA Draft and return to school, as long as they don't hire an agent. Essentially, as long as they don't take that last jump into the professional ranks, they can still come back.

Here's a full list of the mid-major players who have declared.

2016 NBA Draft's Mid-Major Early Entrants:

  • Hired Agent:
    • Deandre Bembry (Saint Joseph's)
    • Kay Felder (Oakland)
    • Stefan Jankovic (Hawaii)
    • Lee Moore (UTEP)
    • Domantis Sabonis (Gonzaga)
  • Testing NBA Waters:
    • Tony Anderson (SE Missouri State)
    • Ian Baker (Nex Mexico State)
    • Antonio Campbell (Ohio)
    • Bakari Copeland (Maryland-Eastern Shore)
    • Charles Cooke (Dayton)
    • Jimmy Hall (Kent State)
    • Jermaine Lawrence (Manhattan)
    • Makai Mason (Yale)
    • Dallas Moore (North Florida)
    • Jalen Moore (Utah State)
    • Mamadou Ndiaye (UC Irvine)
    • Tyrell Nelson (Gardner-Webb)
    • Marc-Eddy Norelia (FGCU)
    • Alec Peters (Valparaiso)
    • Q.J. Peterson (VMI)
    • Pascal Siakam (New Mexico State)
    • Ethan Telfair (Idaho State)
    • Aaron Valdes (Hawaii)
    • Alex Wintering (Portland)
With all of these names listed, it should be an exciting next few weeks for mid-major basketball and considering that some of these prospects could very well go in the first round, expect a great NBA Draft night.
