VCU picked up its first commitment of 2018 on Wednesday night in three-star forward Kevin Easley. The Indianapolis product announced his commitment to the Rams via his personal Twitter account.

Easley fits the mold of what VCU has built its program around: he is long, athletic, and able to knock down shots. At 6’6, Easley projects as a small forward at the college level, and has the potential to play as a stretch four. He brings solid ball skills on the perimeter for his size, and continues to improve his all-around game.
Easley, who is a junior at Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis, has played against solid competition on the Indianapolis circuit. Despite being rated as a 3-star prospect by the 247 Composite, Easley still received interest from high-major schools. Indiana, Purdue, and Xavier all offered the junior, and Butler also gave him a look.
We won’t see Easley in a Rams uniform until the 2018-19 season, so let’s enjoy some highlights for now.
