Tyler Kohl and Austin Nehls. Learn who they are.

East Carolina played tonight, so that means the brutality watch is back after a night off. A Donyell Marshall-less Central Connecticut team went to Greenville and became the second straight mid-major to knock off the Pirates.

Central Connecticut 79 East Carolina 68

If you don’t know who Tyler Kohl is, maybe it’s time you learned. He’s scored 20-or-more in three out of the Blue Devils’ four games and on Friday at East Carolina, flirted with a triple-double.

The transfer from Mineral Area College scored 20 points to go with nine rebounds and nine assists to help hand East Carolina its second buy game loss in three days.

And along those lines, if you don’t know who Austin Nehls is, you should probably familiarize yourself with him as well. One of the best shooters in the Northeast Conference, Nehls went 5-9 from deep to score a game-high 24 points.

Central is now 1-3 on the season as it waits for the return of its head coach from a season-opening suspension. Marshall will return on Nov. 27.
