It’s that time of year when your eyeballs get bombarded with ridiculous red bows atop Lexus’s sitting in driveways.
Lexus Williams put his own ridiculous bow on Boise State’s 73-70 road win at Oregon with a game-winning, half-court buzzer beater as time expired. Here it is in all its glory:

And here’s the understandable reaction from the Broncos’ locker room:

This was a massive win for a Boise State team that can legitimately entertain at-large thoughts at this point. Oregon is putting together the pieces after losing a lot off its Final Four team, and the Ducks did just have a lackluster 1-2 showing in the PK80. But, they’re still a top-50 KenPom team from a power conference with plenty of juice behind the name.
And they’d been riding a program-record 46-game winning streak, which ended as the Broncos rallied late, outscoring Oregon 25-14 over the final 9:43 to erase and eight-point deficit.
Boise State got another bonkers performance from star wing Chandler Hutchison, who went for 20 points and 10 rebounds. Justinian Jessup (15 points) and Zach Haney (17 points, 7 rebounds) also had good games, and Williams — a Valpo transfer — provided the heroics at the end.
The Broncos are coming off a 34-point beatdown of Loyola Chicago, and also have a win against Illinois State, two teams that should provide solid RPI numbers at the end of the year. They get a crack at SMU — a team they beat last season — on Dec. 18.
Should they pull a stunner there as well, why not get the at-large conversation revved up?
