It takes only four days for the NCAA Tournament field to go from 64 teams to 16. In a flurry of basketball goodness, most of the cinderellas bow out and the heavyweights emerge.
Who will they be, and which mids will make the cut?
Well, you’ll get half of that answer on Sunday when the final eight Second Round games take place, highlighted, of course, by Wichita State’s showdown with Kentucky. It’ll be a rematch of that memorable game in 2014, when the 8 seed Wildcats knocked off then-undefeated Wichita State en route to the Final Four.
Elsewhere, Rhode Island will get a shot at Oregon as the Rams look to keep their magical run through March alive. The Rams have trailed for less than a minute combined since the Atlantic 10 Tournament began and are as hot as any team remaining in the field.
