VIDEO: Saint Francis advances to Northeast Conference championship game with insane buzzer-beater

The shot was off-balance and the roll was truly remarkable.

This. Is. March.

3 seed Wagner staged an impressive comeback at home against 4 seed Saint Francis PA in the Northeast Conference Tournament semifinals, and looked to be on the verge of escaping with a win.

With the game tied at 68, Michael Carey gave Wagner the lead with this runner with just over seven seconds left.

Saint Francis then called a timeout to set up the final play. Whatever was drawn up in the huddle though, something went wrong, and that resulted in Keith Braxton having to take an off-balance three at the buzzer.

Then the ball rolled on the rim for a second. Then another. Then it hit every inch of the iron 17 times, I went and made a sandwich, came back, and saw the ball drop in.

With the 71-70 win, Saint Francis advances to the NEC title game, where it will face either 7 seed Robert Morris or 1 seed Mount St. Mary’s. If the Mountaineers beat the Colonials, they will host the title game in Emmitsburg. If the Colonials pull the upset, the Red Flash will host. The game will be played Tuesday night at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
