Wichita State is fresh off a trouncing of Illinois State in the Missouri Valley Championship, and punched their ticket to a sixth straight NCAA Tournament in the process.
There was speculation that the Shockers needed to win in order to make the NCAA Tournament, and they avoided leaving their fate at the hands of the selection committee. That didn’t stop Gregg Marshall, though.
After the game, Marshall had a few words to say about CBS Sports Bracketologist Jerry Palm. Listen to how sassy he gets:

Spicy.
Also, can we take a moment to appreciate how petty Marshall is here? He calls out Palm by name, and backs it up by dropping Palm’s exact ranking on Bracket Matrix’s bracketologist rankings. Palm is in fact ranked 61st out of 88 “Bracket Veterans” on those rankings. Marshall did his research, and seized the opportunity to throw shade. That’s the sign of an experienced roaster.
If you’re keeping score at home, it should look like this:
Pettyweight champion Gregg Marshall: 1
61st-ranked bracketologist Jerry Palm: 0
