The Gonzaga Bulldogs are the No. 1 team in the country following last week’s dominant performance in Maui.
After ripping off three straight wins that was capped off with a victory over then No. 1 Duke, Gonzaga has vaulted to the top spot in the latest AP Poll.
The Bulldogs narrowly edged out Kansas for the top spot as they claimed it by just a six point margin. Gonzaga received 32 first place votes, while Kansas received 31. Duke and Virgina (gross and grosser) each received one first place vote.
But that’s not all! Nevada also crept into the top 5 at No. 5 as the Wolf Pack continue to hum along and win by double digits behind the nation’s best offense. Buffalo moved up a spot to No. 21 as well.
Furman (72) and Davidson (1) also received votes this week.
