Dan Muller tweets shade at Wichita State after upset to Marshall

Dan Muller is extremely online, and it rules.

NCAA Basketball: Puerto Rico Tip-Off-Illinois State vs Boise State Joshua S. Kelly-USA TODAY Sports

If there’s anything that the NCAA Tournament has shown us so far, it’s that moving up a conference doesn’t always lead to more postseason success. Just ask Illinois State head coach Dan Muller, who took the time to tweet his thoughts following Wichita State’s loss at the hands of 13 seed Marshall.

Wichita State, famously, had a stranglehold on the Missouri Valley for the better part of the decade before leaving for the AAC during the last offseason. That opened the door up for Loyola Chicago to win the conference, and even advance to the Round of 32 after upsetting 6 seed Miami at the buzzer yesterday.

I think it’s safe to say that Muller and his fellow Missouri Valley coaches won’t feel much sympathy for Gregg Marshall’s Shockers.
