Longwood has fired head coach Jayson Gee, according to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.
Longwood has parted ways with Jayson Gee, source told ESPN. Was 7-26 this season in his fifth season with the Lancers.

Gee spent five years at the helm of the Longwood basketball program, which came to an end Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Big South Tournament at the hands of Radford. In his final season, the Lancers went 7-26 overall and 3-15 in league play, but showed a late-season surge in a first round tournament win over High Point.
Longwood only posted two double-digit win seasons during Gee’s tenure and had a 26 percent winning percentage during his tenure. The past two seasons were a significant challenge for Gee as Longwood was decimated by injury. However, even in the face of adversity, it was clear that his players thoroughly enjoyed playing for him even if it did not translate to much success on the court.
